Jim,
Do i qualifiy as a guard,as i've been defending a bottle of jamies from the beloved for over three days now!
By the way,nice figures Jim.

Anyway Guards are over rated...The R.A.F. Regt is where its at!

Dear Mr Dodger,
She prefers Talisker, but i prefer Jamiesons. And as I currently buy the booze, its my choice. And before any of you Whiskey Buffs start spouting single malt hersey, and cursing the Irish tipple as bog water; You should know ,it might as well be aviation fuel in our house, and i'd still have booby trap the drinks cupboard to stop the beloved from drinking the house dry :!:

Gentlefolk,

The main body of my French Foote are finished. I have grouped the battalions together with the pike stands in the middle just to get them all in.

Image
The French Foote - 12 Battalions

Image
The French Line - Four Battalions
Regiment Lyonnais
Regiment Picardie - very old regiment: reputedly guarded the tomb during JC's sleepover
Regiment Condé
Regiment Touraine - or Regiment Microsoft if you go by the flag

Image
Irish in French Service - Four Battalions
Regiment Montcashel
Regiment O'Neill - my great uncle Gordon
Regiment Dorrington - another guard unit... Oh shite... that's 42% now...
Regiment Clare

Image
The Guard Brigade - Four Battalions
First and Second Battalions La Garde Francaise
First and Second Battalions La Garde Suisse

Image
The Commanders - Ten Men, a Horse and Three Wee Dugs
The wee dug at the front is called Angus

Considering I started this lot in September, 2009, God alone knows when I'll finish the army but, as Winston Churchill often said, "Keep buggering on!"

Jim

It is a great collections, Jim, wonderful models, units, flags, terrain, dogs...

I expect to have only half of your persistence to finish my own project.

Yes Jim, you need to get them out on the table, you don't want to end up like a certain person whose Crimean figures only got their first outing after waiting 15 years.

I raise a glass in your honour Sir. Lovely collection. Mostly I admire your patience and ability to maintain such a high standard over so many models over such a long period. Whereas I get bored after 30-odd figures for a DBA army!
