Gents,
I am attempting to do research on the internal make up of the English Army during the NYW through WSS.
I have access to a copy of Scouller's The Armies of Queen Anne but I am looking for other sources as well. At the moment, I am trying to get a sense of the average age of a young man when he joined the army as an officer.
Certainly, I expect that this age range varies, but my desire is to see what differences there were in the general age and experience of men who began their careers in the English and French armies.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as has all previous help I have received from you kindly fellows.
