The five battalions traded to France in 1690 were reorganized into three regiments to serve in Italy - Mountcashel, O'Brien, and Dillon. Their flags are well documented on that campaign, seemingly modeled after those of the Earl of Antrim. Were these flags issued upon reorganization? Them seem a little too uniform for early 1690 Jacobites...
I ask because I am starting to build up Jacobite flag sheets for the 1689-91 campaign. My inclination is to include sheets of a more usual St George's Cross variation and use the colors from the later flags (green for Mountcahsel, yellow for O'Brien, and black for Dillon).
I will present a 'Wild Geese' sheet with when we expand the theater beyond Ireland (unless I am completely wrong - your input would be appreciated).
