The Scots Greys started out in grey coats and iron pot helmets! but quickly moved to the more regular red coat and floppy hat.
Permission to wear the grenadier mitre was rewarded after Ramillies (also 5th D?) but not seen the original documents yet.
The bearskin came in with the 1768 regulations.
Sir Thomas Livingston, 1st Viscount Teviot, colonel 1688-1704, sold his colonelcy to Lord John Hay.

Sorry to hear Ray, hope the new painter can continue the high painting quality your figures have so far.
Your problem sounds similiar to mine with my sculptor
„Macht Euch Euren Dregg alleene“
"Sort your filth out by yourself!" The King of Saxony Friedrich August III., at his abdication 1918, referred to the quarrels in the parliament and the squabbling within the provisional government.

Glad your back on track Mr Churchill, that's some nerve your previous figure painter had!
(The historical evidence that God comes from Lancashire is slim, however he's definitely not from Yorkshire)

Strangely it's a bit of a blessing Ray ! These artillery are of considerably lower standard than your other troops!

I agree with Jim, Mr Churchill, lucky escape,it looks like those artillery men have typhoid! Unless thats his painting style?
