Dear Captain and Churchill,
Thank you very much for your replies and comments. I am relatively new to this site and really appreciate the assistance from your good selves and other "veteran" members in taking the time to share your experiences and provide information that would have taken me ages to discover, even if I new where to look in the first place.
I am a realist in that I have neither the skills nor the eyesight to paint to the standard of some of the efforts I have seen here but, at the age of sixty
*, I intend to give it a damned good try. I have always preferred to play with wee sodjers that I have panted myself.
For the last four years, I have built up a couple of Russian and German Flames of War armies in 15mm and now I intend to get back to 28mm, the queen of the battlefield. This should keep me going for at least the next three years.
Once again, thank you Captain for the background information and thank you Churchill for the pure wargaming pornography! I will shortly be starting on
O'Neill's regiment - what else?
Jim
*I'm sixty, my good lady is forty, and my two wee boys are twelve and eight respectively. As an aside, I am one year older than my mother-in-law.
