Hell no, let it fall over ;)

The way the US dollar is going, things are getting soooo cheap to buy from overseas now.

All those expensive metals are so much more affordable now.

Heres my best current example, not inc postage, My first Front Rank (yes its Pounds but its all realative so to speak) French battalion pack (24.85 pounds) cost me around $70nz odd, might have been a little less but close, it was a while ago, today the same pack is $46.37.

but alas I think its better to not fall over an if the US is serious about trying to balance their budget, maybe they need to looks at the military spending....

cheers

Scruff,

That's what my good lady, Norma, says to me. She reckons I've spent more on the Napoleonic Wars than William Pitt did.

In fact my first wife said, "Either the soldiers go or I do!"

Norma is much more pragmatic.

More like the Chinese are coming by the looks of their newly built aircraft carrier.

With its pre-WW2 sloped flight deck design? Doesn't speak volumes to their jet fighter technology. They're better off buying countries than invading../shrug

Updated ETA on the second wave as I have rather broken my Painters block & want more & different figures to add to the mix NOW!.

As for size and character I am planing on mixing in Dixon LoA & Grand alliance as they look right stood together and as I am doing a militia company Dixon's levy add to the less than regular appearance for the unit, & have pikemen in a position for receiving cavalry. The plastics by Wargames factory also work but the marching figures have fitted socket bayonets and that the majority will be one of two marching poses with a head swoop is a bit limiting.

A slightly frothing

Barry,

Nice pics of your new painted WM units - I particularly like the Irish pike militia.
Can you advise who is the manufacturer of the pike staff/tassels on their flags please?

Cheers
Tim

Hello Tim,

the finials and tassles are from VICTRIX. They are of Napoleonic vintage but I don;t think you can be arrested for it
