If someone wants to buy a copy of a Swedish regimental banner of model 1686 180 x 200 cm or something else.

File comment: Adelsfana was Sweden's first regular cavalry units and can possibly be traced back to Alsnö Charter In 1280 when the Swedish nobles, in return for their privileges, was ordered to assist the king in war by the so-called Rust service.

Though organized became adelsrytteriet however, first by Eric XIV 1565th From 1571 begins the name Adelsfana used.

The organization varied through the ages; average corresponded Adelsfana a small cavalry regiment. When the Swedish cavalry (flags) were organized into regiments retained Adelsfana its name. All the officers were noble. During Gustavus Adolphus had Adelsfana three companies in Sweden and one in Finland. In 1634 of Government indicated Adelsfanans rank foremost in the cavalry. In 1640 reorganized Adelsfana and a fourth company came into being. After 1658 when Skåne became Swedish was also a fifth company in Skåne. In the 1680s it increased to six companies: Regional, Finland, Västergötland, Södermanland, Östergötland and Skåne. The men erected only at war and under the privileges of the nobility would Adelsfana only serve in Sweden. In 1702, however, let Charles take over the Swedish companies also to the Baltic possessions. Adelsfana participated in the Battle of Lund in 1676, the Battle of Fraustadt 1706 and fell into Russian captivity in 1709 at Perevolotnya without participating in the Battle of Poltava days before.

The dressing ceased in reality as a field serviceable unit after Charles XII death in 1718, and mustered for the last time the 1743rd Remained a mere paper organization. After 1743 (the regiment amounted to 395 men) were never any "set" of noble flag, and no generalmönstringar held. Hiring met yet absolutely no difficulty. No service was never in question; noble riders obligations was limited to once a year announce their address with the company commander. On the other hand enjoyed the freedom from certain kronoutskylder and did not have any other kind of "legal defense", that is needed, therefore, not take årstjänst or the like.

Finnish part of Adelsfana had a force of 155 men and was posted at the same time and on the same grounds as Adelsfana in Sweden. The men injunction did not after 1720, but instead paid a vacancy fee. The officers however remained full complement and had residences and subdivisions. First, in 1792, to the extent that they were vacant, these residences were returned to the crown.

Household Regiment of Horse was formed in 1667 by Upplands rider was elevated to royal livtrupp. At the same time appointed Count Otto Wilhelm von Königsmarck head of the regiment. The regiment distinguished itself for great bravery in the battle of Lund in 1676 under Nils Bielke. King Charles XI is said to have uttered after the victory: "My crown hanging on Bielke each tip, and that I am next to God, my brave Bielke and my Livregemente to thank for victory." Bielke famous sword is still preserved in the family. 1680 became the regiment TENEMENT in eastern Svealand, and when it fully became TENEMENT 1687 consisted of twelve kompanieri. Its top official residence was located in the palace on the Arno. The first holder was Colonel Hans Ramsvärd. A new parsonage was built on the Arno in 1729, which, after reorganization, the regiment became the official residence of the second Heads of Household Regiment dragonkår up to the 1876th

Household Regiment of Horse was the only regiment in the Stockholm garrison who were not recruited. The regiment had since 1780 his practice site at Utnäs Pasture at Strömsholm. In 1785 formed a special squad light dragoons in the regiment. It was formed by 18 men from each company were added to the dragoons who formed four companies of 36 men in each. This force was later expanded and in 1789 during the Russian war behaved man who own units of 300 men, six companies, under the name Light Dragon Corps of Royal. Majesty Livregemente

Cavalry standards from the Great Northern War
Västergötland Cavalry Regiment

File comment: The regiment has its origins in fänikor (companies) raised in Västergötland in the 16th century. In 1613, these units—along with fänikor from the nearby province of Dalsland—were organised by Gustav II Adolf into Västergötlands storregemente. Sometime between 1621 and 1624, the grand regiment was permanently split into four smaller regiments, of which Västgöta regemente till häst was one.

The regiment was officially raised in 1628 although it had existed since the early 1620s. The regiment soon changed name to Västgöta och Dals ryttare and was one of the original 8 Swedish cavalry regiments mentioned in the Swedish constitution of 1634. The regiment's first commander was Erik Soop. It was renamed to Västgöta kavalleriregemente in 1655 and was allotted in 1691.

Västgöta kavalleriregemente was reorganised into a dragoon regiment in 1792 and changed its name to Västgöta linjedragonregemente and later Västgöta dragonregemente to reflect that. The regiment was then reformed into the infantry regiment Västgöta regemente in 1811
