Has anyone a link to a map of the Boyne, the only ones I can find are modern maps with Heritage walks and modern bridges on them.

cheers!

hi Ray
the osprey is ok.it only gives a little of the detail around the area.ive tried google maps but guess what?there appears to be a shadow over the curve of the river...ive tried other searches on line but to no great advantage over the osprey one.def cannt find a topographic map of the area anywhere.IIRC from my last visit, its mainly gentle hills running down on to the river.no great inclines.the river is quite broad, poss 10 m in places.lots of shrubbery.i havent been as far west as rossnareene so not sure of the lay of the land.for James an advantageous site for a battle, without doubt.hope thats of some help.

Thanks guys for all the help, the perfect map is in the Boyne Osprey, but the damned spine of the book cuts out a lot of detail, I may have to flatten my book and photocopy that.
