Possible Hussar Models

Post by Redmist1122 » Fri Jan 17, 2014 11:51 pm

All,
Looking for a suitable manufacture/figures that I can use for WSS Hussars for the French and Bavarian armies. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Oh...25/28mm. Wasn't sure if maybe SYW figures would be too way out period. I'm also pretty handy for mods and little success w/sculpting.

Thanks.

Hi Greg,

Reiver Castings seem to have a full range of Hussars for French

http://reivercasting.wordpress.com/reiv ... 1685-1699/

You have to scroll down the extensive list.

Retail runs over this company:

Hope that helps,
Günter

Duncan McFarlane's Strategm range of figures used to have nice hussars if you can find any on Ebay, unfortunately Duncan no longer has this figure range which is a pity as he produced some nice models.
Cheers

I have looked for a long time. Years in fact for suitable figs for French hussars. Tag are fairly reasonable. I have ended up buying foundry Cossack personalities. They are the closest I can find.

Check out Front Rank's 7 Years War Austrian Pandours, they are very close and one of them is even holding a severed head. They make a wonderfull contrast with your more civilized line cavalry.
