Question about Imperial Austrian Troops 1683-1700

Hi Guys,

I've a few packs of Austrian Infantry and command in broad brimmed hats ready for the painting table, along with what appears to be a decent uniform guide for the period:

As I'm relatively new to the period (I've ordered a couple of books from the LOA reading list to help me along) I was wondering what specific campaigns these may be used in?

I'm guessing the Siege of Vienna is an obvious one.

I've also got Williamite Dutch, so would be nice if I could use both at some point.

Also, what period did the transition from brimmed hats to tricorne occur? or was it a gradual process with the possibility of units and armies having a mix of both?

I picked up the Reiver Castings Austrians purely on the basis that I like the look of the figures and in particular the Prince Eugen figure!!

With austrian troop you may want to consider the italian front with many interesting scenarios both strategical and tactical, also the beginning of wss, with and against Savoy and vs French. Many different battallions were employed from many different countries
What manufacturers do you reccomend for Turks?

Thanks Everyone!

The Assault Group figures look nice plus they seem to have a large range. I'll look into the Italian campaign for some inspiration, also quite happy that I can possibly use my Austrians with some of the early WSS battles.

Hopefully I won't need to bombard the forum with as many questions once the background reading starts rolling in from Amazon and other places.
