It's official!

By popular vote the next outing which is in Novmeber will once more see Schnapps, Kellerman, Andrei and the gang jousting for the worst quote and the lowest die rolls in Europe.
This time we are in 1814, further west and there will be:

1. Brits

2. Boats

and all the usual stuff!!

Get painting lads!

My Dear Kellerman,
I can assure you I suffer from no such ailment, my concern was whether my command should carry extra powder and shot or our regulation beach towels.
regards
Schnapps
ps Can you hear the Drums :?:

Mon cher Colonel,

I would not bother with the powder, you will probably get it - as usual, and this time you can use the sea as an excuse; and in which case, the only proper use would be to plaster it on your aged features to try and hide the cracks.

Drum Beats :? the only drumbeats I hear are those of squadrons of French Cavalry horse hooves on the ground as they pound headlong into their (Prussian) enemies

Besides, after listening to so many bugles blaring in one's oriular orofices, I am afraid that have become quite deaf- hence the tintinitus - rrringing in ones ears - yes- I can still hear the bugles

Till we meet again friend

Sir,
The 10th Infantry Brigade have just the remedy for your deafness, if you would care to venture into musketry range when we next clash they will gladly administer it. :)

Bonjour Mon Ami,

I would take advantage of your offer, but I suspect you will be hiding as usual, tucked away in some woods, or crawling around in a ditch. Maybe this time you will be sitting in a boat where my boys cannot reach you.

I nonetheless look forward to our next encounter, and will treat your musketry with the same scant regard as usual :)

Kellerman

(apologies regarding the spelling mistakes in my previous - I have no excuses - hic)

Mon Dieu!

Are French cavalry commanders insomniacs as well as brandy swilling braggarts and tellers of tall tales???

Methinks General Kellerman has been dining high in the bordellos of Paris with his tales of Pig Sticking the SauPreussers all the way back to Silesia.

Next we'll have Schnapps tales from the coffee houses of Berlin.....

Can't wait!! 8)

Well, not exactly, but

secretly plotting the downfall of my nemisis "Colonel Schnnaps", by practising and honing my horsemanship and sabre skills

All will be revealed in due couse. :(

Sir,
Bad spelling is only to be expected from one who has been elevated from the Paris mob during the chaos of revolution. A fine uniform and grand rank can not compensate for good breeding and a sound education citizen
Are we to gather from your comment on honing your horsemanship and sabre skills that you may be about to lead your men from the front  Surely not :o

AAh yes Herr Umpire the coffee houses of old Berlin, Frau Schnitzels on Kaiser Wilhelm Strasse was the place for young cadets to go  The dimly lit rooms where we would talk of tactics, drink strong black coffee and sample the tarts. ( other pastries were available but the strawberry tarts were a firm favorite of the Jaeger Korp) fond memories indeed but alas the establishment was closed down by the authorities many years ago  Schnapps

Sacre Bleu !

So my adversary and chief foe is "A TIME LORD" :( :(

"O ME MISERUM"

All is lost, flee my brave curassiers.

Maybe if we sneeks up behinds him, we can surprises him.

BUT, watch out for the Jaegers falling from the sky !!!!! They may be from the "FUTURE"

Kellerman,

By the way my dear Colonel, we missed all but a few of the decadent Royalists with our Madame Guillatine. Your time will come, and you can join your egalitarian bourgoisee, in Hades

Bon Soir Mon Ami,

(If I can still address an alien as such)

I have the distinct problem of which of your two hearts to cut out first with my Sabre ?.

Just perhaps, I will play safe, and cut off your head!! :D

You had only one of these last time I looked.
