MARCH 12th/13th Revised date, venue,theme.

Post by Dale » Wed Dec 15, 2010 12:45 pm

Please note the change of date for the March game. This will be in Kirriemuir at our usual venue with a World War II theme in 28mm organised by Barry and Dale.

Barry and I will be speaking soon, probably over the festive season about the scenario(s). I believe Barry has a note of the figures/vehicles that everyone has, but could you copy that to me too, along with any additionals created since our last WW II game.

Hi Lads.

Barry and I have had a quick chat and agreed a broad outline for the March WW II game. Would all those who are available please let me know asap so that we can further plan the commands. The theme will be announced next week.

Can you also let me know what you each have available in 28mm American, British or German suitable for 1944/45, figures, vehicles, tanks, amphibious, aircraft, etc.

For anyone without kit for this period/scale, don't worry , we'll have more than enough to go round.

OK Chaps, dust off your most cringeworthy impressions of:

SSSSSCHAAAAWN CONNERY
MICHAEL CAINE
JIMMY CAAN
ROBERT REDFORD
GENE HACKMANN
& EDWARD FFFFFOXXX

We are travelling up the road to a Bridge to Far and Arnhem. Disposable Heroes... claims for commands on a first come first serve basis but we are likely to have
6 German
4 British
2 American

commands up for grabs.. more to come soon..

Well I suppose my late war French army will just have to be Americans since all their armour and equipment is from the US. I wonder who will volunteer for the Krauts??

I would have thought Blucher and Schanpps would have snapped up the bad guy roles. I'm sure Von Konstam would love to command the SS

Dear Dave/Chaps

.......how One can be 'type-cast'.........................

For this event I would like to be ..........'my name is Michael Caine'........

My gallant Brits will be smashing a route through to the beleagured troops quicker than Angus can 'neck' a bottle of Schnapps and get the lid of his jar of Saurkraut!!!

Chin, chin

Actually I was only teasing about Angus joining the Krauts, he actually has the Irish Guards and Michael Caine.

I'll look out my list of vehicles this weekend.

I don't think I've played Amercian before so would be happy to join alongside Dave O'Brien (depsite his duplicitous behaviour in our VBCW game!)

I seem to recall you having an American Armoured infantry platoon lurking inside some Cathedral at some point Peter and lobbing mortar shells at some hapless Aryans... remember?
