Barry , you are right I forgot about that game.

As long as I'm not opposite my brother with a battery of off table artillery!

Thanks for that, Dave. I noticed the sculpture is wearing your favourite "weekend away with the lads" stockings. Suspicious. Have you got the cap as well?

For the record, I have a platoon of Irish Guards in half tracks and carriers, and two brace of Shermans plus a Humber a/c. Oh, and Mr. Caine in his Dingo. Not many people know that...

I'll be up in Orkney before and after, so I'll probably be looking to scrounge a lift down from Aberdeen Harbour on the Saturday morning. Can any of the North-Easters help?

They were last seen in a small Bistro on the outskirts of Oosterbeek being serenaded by a Fräulein Dietrich:

"I love Paras in the springtime,
I love Paras in the fall..."

Hi Colin,

whatever you get done would be grand. No pressure if we do not have Paras then we'll use some other Tommies but ideally a platoon 20-30. But again, no pressure.. I have not heard from the Donald Trump of LoGW Dale Smith who probalby has the eintire Airobirne Division in 1-2-1 scale!

Dale??
Dale?
Dale?

Are you out there??

OK Chaps... stewing my prines off in Malaysia means I have plenty of time indoors to work on wargaming stuff. The scenarios are now pretty much written.
Players will either be: German or British. Americans will only 'Guest' in this scenario when the 82nd or 101st are encountered holding ground.
Sides already chosen.

Looking forward to the big match.

NO table headaches will be necessary this time so set up/ break down will be mega fast. All we need are 4 seperate 8 x 6 tables.

We will however need a fairly wide variety of TSS Boards but no hills. We need town stuff, some farms, fields, woods, rivers and streams, some entrenchment type stuff but no Atlantic Wall components. No single individual should burden themsleves bringing too mcuh stuff it's not that kind of weekend!

Since my French are all in American equipment and armour which the US paras wouldn't have I won't bother bringing them but bring all my WW2 buildings instead as well as my big bridge.
Cheers

If we need "bridges"The "Little General" has a nice steel girder bridge that could be utilised.
Stands 4" high x 3" wide and 20" long. That would be quite a wide river crossing

All my terrain tiles are at the Guide Hall curtesy of Kirriemuir Wargames Club. :D

Looking forward to manning an 88mm an blowing hell outta some "Tommies" :x

I tried phoning you a couple of weeks ago before you set off for a fortnight of fun filled Middle East and again today. You need to come to terms with modern technology where a postman will deliver a hand written letter the very next day. Sharpening quills need not be a problem with the patented quill cutting accessory and I do like that new fangled ready-mixed ink that requires no mixing at all!

Working on some buildings to add to the pot.

Gentlemen, Charles jnr is back from Afghan on R&R in early March and has asked me if he could take part in the game on 12/13 March. I asked Barry (as one of the organisers)and he is very happy but I thought I should check with you all. Most of you know him. I have no WW2 armies so I am already in your dept whoever is providing forces for me. If we cannot stretch to two lots then I am happy to share with Charles or to give up my place to Charles jnr and be spectator. I have provisionally booked us both in to the Arlie for Friday and Saturday night. I do hope this is Ok with you all and you don’t think it is too much of a liberty on my part. Yours aye, Charles
