Barry,

I've just ordered the French "deal" complete with the thousands of wee counters. Should, at a later stage, I wish to order a set for British or Austrians will there be a similar deal on the counters alone?

Can I also be cheeky and suggest that the yellow counters would be more appropriate for a Spanish army and that you consider a proper WHITE set for Austrians.

I also note that the system failed to charge me the 1p postage. Be careful of your margins, Sir, we don't want you going out of business!

Kindest regards,

Jim

Hello Jim,

good points...

White for Austrians.. yes.. BUT... we couldn't source the plain white laminate and of course Austrian Kompaniefanen are yellow

That change may happen. The Austrian counters are very pretty incidentally 8) I have yet to photograph them to allow individual purchase and at the moment they can only be got via a deal unless someone writes to me and of course I'll sell 'em!

I am considering other 'counter deals' without the rules so no fears there Jim.

Your order will go ronite in the post.. it is sitting in front of me all packaged up right now :D ... put the penny in your piggy bank anf you can give me it later when you take the Austrian set

Grah, it's only just arriving to people in the UK so there's little chance that it'll be waiting for me at home.

Oh wait, hope springs.

Careful, laddie, those mince pie crumbs are lethal.

Got home last night and was delighted to see a lovely little parcel waiting for me :D

Serious kudos to Barry, Clarance, and all concerned for a mighty fine piece of work. Can't wait now to use them in anger ...

Cheers,

John.

Mine arrived yesterday. Very impressive and good value for money I think.

Started reading last night. Didn't get very far, but immediately liked the artillery basing logic.

Will only be doing small 2-player games, so now must see if I have enough painted figures to handle 20:1. Have some unpainted, but a 40:1 option may be a better interim option (tempus fugit for us - geezers!).

Congrats to Barry et al

40:1 will work as long as all armies use the same ratio and unit sizes are similar. No problem! :D

Thanks Barry. I have an annoying habit of looking hopefully into the mailbox for something I ordered 11pm the night before. Then when it finally arrives I'm sad the next day because I don't have anything to look forward to. So for now I'll enjoy the anticipation. Theoretically, if it arrives today I'll have all weekend to read it, but that would be a suprising feat of cross-oceanic mail delivery.
