Wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction on a couple of queries?

Firstly - anyone know whats happened to TSS Terrain Tiles? Heard a rumour that the previous owners had 'retired'. There was no 'representation' at Partizan, with no one selling them.

Secondly- does anyone know any companies that produce a Viking Great Hall building in 28mm? I would prefer one that has plenty of 'carvings' on it/'Goth' like.

All answer very welcome.

Adrian , the TSS website is still open and they do list various new products. http://totalsystemscenic.com/

For Dark Ages buildings the best place to go IMHO is either Gripping Beast or Grand Manner. I know Dave Bodley has made a Saxon Great Hall but don't know if there is a specific Viking building available. Gripping Beast have a cracker of a Viking Longship. Both Kev and I have one although we have yet to get them painted !

Adrian, Stronghold Miniatures do a suitable building for a great hall but getting the buildings from Mike can be a bit awkward. I have one painted which we can use for the March game, if that is what you want it for. My Irish will be too busy raping and pillaging to need a great hall.
Cheers
Dave

Hi Folk's,

I'm surprized to read that TSS have sold their business to QRF.
I got to know the owner's Simon and his wife Sue very well and I purchased all my 32 terrain tiles from them which Simon custom built for me with contour's for my "15mm Waterloo Project".
I will have to e-mail them to find out why they sold out their company.
They were always pleasant and a happy couple and good traders.
They'll be a miss at the show's they attended.

Ray.

Blucher,

You can't beat Grand Manner for this sort of thing- they certainly at the higher end of the price scale but they are are beautifully crafted models.

You pays your money.....

Darrell.

Many thanks to you chaps for the help so far - very much appreciated.

I've now been able to 'find' TSS. My old 'web link' in my favorites was defaulting to the now closed down 'old site' - that was what propted my original cry for help.

Still looking into getting the 'right' Viking Great Hall. Thanks again for all the pointers. I've got the Grand Manner Saxon Hall and I have 'trawled' the 'usual suspects' regarding buildings - no joy to date. Hope maybe someone might see one at a show (even a Fantasy Show!) and forward details.

Thanks again Chaps

Have you tried this chap?

http://www.dreamholme.com/shop/page/1?shop_param=

Does a range of Dark Age buildings, including a Saxon Great Hall/Chieftain's House.

FOR SALE!!!

1 Kidney - not bad condition.

Would suit 'whiskey drinker' as would be more compatible - especially Macallen or Highland Park connoisseur.

Sale 'forced' as money needed to pay for latest 'buildings order'......

SERIOUS OFFERS ONLY!!!
