Courland Dragoon Regiment ~ 1812

OK, so after two years I've finally given in to having a section of the FORUM specifically set up to discuss painting techniques, display examples, show your latest projects and chat about this vital part of the hobby. Manufacturers please feel free to post up your sculpts, ask questions about what the gamers are after and generally promote your work.. no charge! Painters, please also feel free to post up your work for comment and critique. I can't promise the unreserved adulation characteristic of some other fora but I would hope you'd get constructive and measured comment!

Courland Dragoon Regiment ~ 1812

First installment of the cavalry arm was recently completed for my long-running 1812 project: the Courland Dragoons Regiment. Wargames Foundry 28mm figures (sculpted by Alan Perry), with P3 palette for flesh and metals, and Foundry for all else. Bases by Litko, flag from GMB, assorted 'tufty' bits from Jed Norton at Antenociti's Workshop. The Courland or Kürland Dragoons formed part of MG Fedor Korff's III Reserve Cavalry Corps at Borodino (supporting Dokhturov's VI Corps); I hope to paint the Irkutsk DR to join them soon. Comments and critique welcome, as always.
