BLB & R2E weekenders in England in 2012

Post by barr7430 » Thu Sep 15, 2011 3:32 pm

We are investigating a possible venue to run Republic to Empire and Beneath the Lily Banners residential weekenders in the Derby area.
The rolled up cost of will be around the same mark as the very successful events we continue to run in Scotland. We will shortly publicise 2 dates in Spring and want to gauge the level of interest there might be.

The terrain will be top quality and provided by Adrian Howe (many examples of Ade's superb work can be found on this site). The troops will be of the usual high standard. We will probably go for one event of each type in the Spring.

Format will be the same... just turn up with you dice and tape measure (and rules if you have them) and we'll do the rest...

So far we have run

Waterloo
100 Days battle on June 15th
Shevardino / Borodino
Borodino
Mockern

All of these with between 2,000 and 3,500 28mm models.

Let's see if there is some interest...

Greetings

More interested in BLB2 that R2E but I'd play either. Derby is a bit of a hike but considerably better than Scotland in terms of distance for me. The key issue would be with dates as I generally travel for business quite a bit in the Spring.

Edward
