LotR

OK, so after two years I've finally given in to having a section of the FORUM specifically set up to discuss painting techniques, display examples, show your latest projects and chat about this vital part of the hobby. Manufacturers please feel free to post up your sculpts, ask questions about what the gamers are after and generally promote your work.. no charge! Painters, please also feel free to post up your work for comment and critique. I can't promise the unreserved adulation characteristic of some other fora but I would hope you'd get constructive and measured comment!

I am invading this bastion of high and mighty historical projects with more fantasy... Specifically The Lord of the Rings...

Lots more stuff on my blog. I'll get back to proper wargaming shortly (or maybe not... Wait and see what's coming for Donnybrook)!

You may call it sarcasm........I, on the other hand, prefer to refer to it as a humorous observation!!! :-)

Clarence,
What a nice change of pace you posted here. Definitely like the look and of course the flag. All units has to have a flag. Great job!!!

Stout one? Stout one?

Gunter, I would have expected more dignity from you.... mixing with Gerry and Bob has clearly been bad for your health

I dont know who will read my answer to your statement as your part of the world seems to have blown up in a huge ball of fire  :D

Yep. There is a unit of Jacobite Dragoons on my desk, but the problem is they've been on the desk FOR MONTHS half finished. For what ever reason I couldn't get motivated to finish them and I wasn't painting anything. I don't know what set off this LotR frenzy, but since I started in January I've painted just over 60 models!

I have no idea what sets off the wild mood swings, but I have learned to simply ride the wave of productivity. If I ignore the inspiration I often find I paint NOTHING. Right now these fantasy models have me painting several hours every day.

Don't worry... I have the attention span of a three-year old and piles of unpainted historicals... I'm sure I'll be back soon.
