This attack by Peter Nicholson's Corps on Ligny was the first to go in although Charles Grant had already made two assaults on St Amand La Haye by this time. Colin Jack's Prussians are on the receiving end  and were only able to hold this sector of the town for about  one hour before being pushed out.
