The is a interesting line in the description of what the Saxon Elector Georg III. ordered "....[i]to leave the pikes at home and have the complete Regiments supplied with muskets[/i]" And that order was made as early as 1683 :!:
The "Entsatzheer/relief force" has about 37.000 Infantry and 43.000 Cavalry! That seems not to be much if one looks at the estimated strenght of the Turks of 200.000 men :shock:
