Optional Rules

Barry,
Will you'll be carrying over the optional rules; Engineering & fieldworks, artillery fire, and mortars, from the original BLB?

We played a game tonight will all the optional rules mentioned. Have a few questions concerning the "directional die" for mortars.

Thank you.

Click on the Danish Army.

If you want to know more about the Danish Army + flags, got to OMM, and the get the booklet, "The Danish Army 1699 - 1715" by C.A Sapherson. It goes for eight bucks.

King Williams War Options

All, Last night we played a scenario that Barry wrote from WI #260, "Assualting the Breastworks". I chose this sceanrio due to majority of the units were already placed on the table. This is our first go at using the King Williams War Options from BLB 2nd Edition playtest copy. While waiting for our...

How weird is that! Our group here in Tucson ran the same game last week using BLBv2 too...with one minor difference. We didn't have enough Jacobite forces, instead we used a French force. Like your game, it was a "French" victory by turn 9. The Williamnite forces had two chances to break through wit...

Barry,
Sounds good on paper, and we played last night with a similar case of the enemy in the rear of the unit that turned around. More to follow...

Our group here in Tucson will be sending another "mega" feedback shortly. 8)

Barry,
Our group here in Tucson like this sequence at the end of the turn. Can't recall all the reasons, but they were pretty pleased with the move...back to more Holiday chow!!!

Oh, one last thing from this post, I don't think we got a solid clarification about the minimum safety distance. If we're all happy with just adjusting an 1" so be it. I was think on the lines if, you ended up under 3", then you don't have the option to halt a pursuit, but automatically hit. Thoughts.

Flick40, Thank you for the clarifications. We tried putting some common sense in these situations, wanted to bounce them off the group here. The horse unit failed a morale test to counter charge, so by default he received the charge at the halt. As mentioned before, talked about in the rules, but no...
