Re: The Jocks are back in DERBY!

Hi Barry

My email address is tonydillon@hotmail.com

Thanks for the weekend. Good fun even though I was trashed on the Sunday by Bill. A good set of rules that you have there and I look forward to playing with them again.
regards

Re: The Jocks are back in DERBY!

As a French exile (General Langeron) for the Sunday component of the game I'm glad that I did my duty to my motherland and allow Bill to steamroller me off the table on the Allied left. My crafty throwing of 4 consecutive 1's at a critical time was just part of my game plan and I'm glad that it paid...

Re: The Jocks are back in DERBY!

My hunch is that it's Lutzen we'l be confronted with. If only Bessieres had lived a little longer the cavalry would have had a competent leader instead of that nutter Murat.

Re: Terrain for demo game at Wargamer show in December

A well deserved win by your good self Gary. My Peninsular game came to an abrupt end the move after Sharpe and Harper (with 10 other riflemen) burst into a house and found Obidiah Hakesill alone. He was promptly shot , but as the riflemen left the building a load of Frenchmen jumped and they got clo...

Birmingham International Airport is 20 mins away from my house so I might be able to help out with Gunters transport.

I've booked my place too so the metropolis of Birmingham will be represented, although I'm actually a displaced Scouser. (from Liverpool to our overseas friends)

Re: 28mm buildings for a not-Plancenoit town?

Hi Ray I'm flattered that you used the pics. I assume that your the Ray from the SOGG forums so maybe one day we'll meet up and play a Napoleonic game. Earlier in the year we met at Doncaster and had a good scrap and I still hope to lay on Waterloo in the near future so check out the SOGG site for a...

Re: 28mm buildings for a not-Plancenoit town?

The Hougomont setup is from my demo at Alumwell a few years ago although I do try to give it an airing every now and then. As stated it is a Hovels model set up on a faux fur landscape. I use a very simple set of skirmish rules to refight the scrap at Hougomont and sometimes the French actually win!...

Hello Barr I'm another ITGM player who lives in Birmingham. Quite a few of my units are based using pre mixed coloured grout from the 99p shop in Erdington. Way back when I even used some mortar on the bases of a French Unit. Talk about steady infantry . They'll never be shifted! Another lair for IT...

Thanks chaps. I'll look for the magazine at a show I'm going to tomorrow. I'd done a similar thing before at Peter Gilders WHC when doing Leipzig.
The French players stand stand in a polo mint(!) which represents the town and part of the river.

Can someone expain to me how you managed to reach into the middle of the tables? With the dimensions described elsewhere I can't figure out how you could move figures any further away than 3 feet. Can someone please solve this quandry for me as I'd like to put on a similar game in the West Midlands ...
