French infantry ribbons by Front Rank

Front Rank has ribbons to convert figures to French troops. Can these be used for the new LoA Hiltons'figures or would this be an idea for these figures. By this way there need to be made no extra figures

footslogger,
thanks. I know. But somehow all info seems to indicate red/rusty red etc. Even Barry shows in his pictures red as colour for the french guns.

colour French artillery 1690

What coolour did they french equipment/canons have in the 1690-1698 period.
I thought it was red but can't find the source again.
Also: did limbers, wagons etc have the same colours as guns?

If someone is interested in the Dutch army of the French revolution, I have started to gather information of the army on our site:
www.aldegarde.nl and got "historical information".
Of course it's a work in progress but it grows.

model pikes question

Just a simple question. How long does anyone make their pikes for Dixon LoA figures.
I found somewhere that the pikes were appr. 14feet long which would be something of 6,5cm (?).
Any suggestions?

Hi,
Is there already a price indication of the new range?

Secondly, you mentioned separate French figures. What will be the difference with the other figures. Are in the recent unit photo already a French figure?

Clarence,
thanks. I think you are right.
We had one medieval demo with figures from various manufacturers (Foundry, very old B&B etc). But on the table they didn't look out of place

Jim, thanks for the info. New food for thought about basing. We know that the Copplestone are bigger but in seperate units they maybe fit. But we think they are far better suitable for the 1672-1678 period than the Dixon/Foundry. But you re of course right, the height difference is big. greetings an...

Regarding the uniforms, we are now trying to find information about the uniforms worn during this period but there is very few to find. Some snippets about French and Dutch uniforms but probably we will have to use later uniform information and predate it (reversing colour for pikes and officers etc...
