Those are some pretty Uhlans.

I like the sound of the "dragoons with sticks." Sounds like an interesting bit of conversion work for somebody to do!

10mm are fun figures. I tend to think they're best for fixed base games like Volley and Bayonet or Grande Armée . You can pretty much turn every 3"x3" base into a diorama with 10mms (or 6mms) - which is a good deal harder in 15mms or 25mms. Conversely, 10mms have almost the same detail as 15mms. I d...

Chaps, no two people are keener than Hilton and Harrison to get this baby 'birthed' We tinkered with the idea of adding an Army Builder and I have created it BUT... Having taken the very wise council of no less a person than Mr Charles S. Grant I have decided NOT to include an Army Builder ...

Just what I tried to bring forward. The case seems (to me) to be, that tendencies are in existance to fight the French only when they are almost on their knees. You can count the peoples by their names if you look for wargamers who like to play Russian, Prussian and Austrians 1805 or 1806. What the...

See, you need an America event! Clarence was talking about an American RtE Weekender around Christmas. Any chance of fruition? It would require fine timing as it will need to be squeezed in around the New Zealand event!!   Salute von Peter himself Barry and Clarence can sleep on ...

The twists and byways of Napoleonics gaming have taken a new turn... Dave has come up with... a battle between Schwarzenberg's Austrian Auxiliary Corps, Reynier's VII Saxon Corps and Tormasov's Russians! This one should please Gunter! Doing some research on it now as my knowledge is a bit hazy Al w...

I never heard anyone fight parts of Austerlitz, Eylau or Friedland or even Auerstadt. All talk about 'what a glorious army that was' but nobody wants to play them. That is why I dismissed my plans for raising Neys VI. Corps, 14000 men, as they stood at Friedland. I've gamed Eylau before using Naps ...

Rob, That is one damned good-looking Custer! Jim Thanks! He was my favorite of the four dismounts to paint, and honestly the easiest. I did a lot of three tone painting on him. It's counterintuative, but the buckskins were actually really easy to do. I used Vallejo Filthy Brown as the shadow on the...

I voted for 1809/the Wagram Period, but I also like 1813/1814 in Italy.

Again, there's a wide mix of size of battles (which is ideal), and it's got my favorite General of the period: Eugene de Beauharnais.

Plus the most colorful army of the period - the Neapolitans! (when they're not deserting).
