Re: So how do you design an army

Hi, Zed! Welcome to the forum. This is probably a good topic for a blog series and I'll look into after Historicon in a few weeks. Do you mean fight 'balanced' games or collect an army? Balance through point systems has always been a bit of a mirage to me. My brother is into list building in Warhamm...

Re: BLB2 printing question

Not this year (in the US). Back in 2010, we ran BLB AND R2E games at Hisroticon, but that was quite a logistical trial.

Maybe in 2011... :D

Re: Historicon 2016

Those are 300dpi pics on the blog (the same ones we sent to the printer in fact). Right click the image and chose 'open in new tab' (or window, depending on your OS) for the full resolution image. In that new tab, right click the image and choose 'save image'...

Re: Historicon 2016

I think the main thing to have a handle on as a player are the way orders work, movement, and formations. Getting caught in the wrong formation or blundering about with inappropriate orders is the quickest way to getting a battalion mauled. Knowing shooting and close combat mods might help determine...

Re: Historicon 2016

We will be using BLB2. Good thing Barry will be there because I'm liable to just ask you to throw a bunch a of dice and judge the results by the number of 1's and 6's that turn up (kidding... well, sort of... by all means, take a look at them - SOMEONE should know the rules)! Hmm... maybe I better l...

Re: Uniform Guides for the Boyne

Ha, Barry! See what we started?

Some sources DO list them there, but I certainly won't argue with the Scots Guard! I'll let Mr. Hilton wade into this...

Thanks for the kind words... :D

Captain Neville's Map of Derry.

Ok, this worked once before when my Google-Fu failed to turn up good maps of Limerick so I thought I'd try again... Captain Francis Neville drew a map entitled 'A Survey of the City of Londonderry as it was Beseiged by the Irish Army An:1689' There is a portion of the map seen [url =http://www.cregg...
