Turn 90 Degree or Wheel

Jim why don't we just wait for Barry to answer the question instead of carrying on this debate. For me I think what you did was a illegal manouver and you misunderstood the wording slightly.Yes you can turn 90 degrees, but not from line to line, only line to column of march or vice versa. I don't th...

Turn 90 Degree or Wheel

Hi Barry, Sorry Jim, but I think this needs to be explained in more depth as it caused a heated debate. This Sunday during our BLB game one of my cavalry squadrons won a melee and routed Jim's cavalry.Unfortunatly they fell short when pursuing and left them 3" on the left flank of one of Jim's infan...

Crossing Linear Obstacles

Hi Barry, Sorry to bother you with this again, but unfortunatly simple logic hasn't prevailed and questions were asked again. Can you cross a linear obstacle e.g. wall in march column and could you charge across also. I would say no to both, but I've got to ask for the others. I would also think you...

Republic to Empire rules.

Hi Barry & Clarence, I'm looking forward to the R2E rules being published and released on sale. I don't know if your aware, but since 1997 I've been building my 15mm Waterloo Project.I decided on a 1 : 50 for cost purposes and this gave me 12 figure battalions = 600 real men, 4 figure cavalry regime...

Dutch Artillery

Hi Jonathon, Just as a matter of interest Marlborough's British Artillery at the Battle of Blenhiem was under the command of a Colonel Holcroft Blood and it consisted of (Left Wing) 6 Culverins (9pdrs) supporting the attack on Oberglauheim, 10 Sakers (5pdrs) & 4 Howitzers supporting the attack on Bl...

Jim, You must of had your cavalrymen mounted on nag's or mounted facing the wrong way  Martin did throw some good dice, I mean the odd's were totally in your favour to start with  your squadron was Elite and at full strength where as Martin's was Drilled and down to 4 figures.Six dice an...

Crossing Linear Obstacles

Hi Barry, My turn to ask a question, Jim's taken time out to lick his wound's after another Williamite victory today  One thing that did slow the game down and had us having a big debate about how infantry crossed linear obstacles which in this case was a stone wall.In the rules on Page 16 at t...

15mm Prussian Flags for 1815 any help please

Hi me again,

O.K. I've looked for the GMB website, but have not found it and the traders who do stock them only have them in 25mm.
Could someone post me the upto date link of where I might find these.

Thank you for your help........Ray.

4" Bounce

Thank you Barry for that explaination. It seems that 4" is the distance all units be they Infantry or Cavalry retire after three rounds of melee to reform. Jim, Cavalry v Infantry if no one routs after three rounds of melee the Cavalry bounce 4" and the Infantry retire a full move 4" both are disorde...

Dutch Guards

Hi Barry, Really nice unit and I love your flag's, they should bring you some honours. I had my first BLB game yesterday and it was Kirke's Regiment's first testing. It was only a small encounter using only seven units per side and at the beginning when dicing for the C-in-C I threw a 2 on a Average ...
