Quatre Bras Secenario

I am working on a Quatre Bras Scenario for R2E. I have about 80% of the troops done in 10mm, and most of the terrain. I have made up a OOB for R2E and a reinforcements table with a bit of uncertainty in it. There are here - http://10mmnapoleonics.blogspot.com.au/p/downloads.html for anyone to downlo...

Re: Computer moderated rules for R2E?

Hey Steve, Great you are interested in it. I did not want to "volunteer" you for it since you were immersed in the Empire thing, but really glad you are interested. I think it would be better than what I could do. I was seeing if anything had been done and how it might look on an ipad. I have had an...

Re: Anyone interested in an R2E campaign?

I'll be keen. I have lots of 10mm troops British, French, Brunswick, Nassau (some 2600 infantry, 600 cavalry, 50+guns and crews).

I'm a bit isolated down here in Australia, but might be able to convince some opponents.

Cheers

Re: Compatible campaign systems for R2E

Thanks Friedrich, I have seen Malcolm's system before, very impressive. Looks like a full time job coordinating it. Maybe a bit over the top for what I am planning - smallish solo campaign or one with a few players if I can convince some others. I'll be supplying all the troops and table. I was look...

Compatible campaign systems for R2E

Anyone found any compatible campaign systems for Republic to Empire? Preferably ones with solo options? I am looking for something that could be adapted to provide an ongoing story, linking battles and provide some framework. I have picked up "The Emperor Returns" and "L'Armee Du Nord" for maps and ...

Re: Computer moderated rules for R2E?

I'd buy a PDF first for new releases, then possibly a hard cover after it. Postage is a factor in purchasing for me living in Australia (cost and time to send it). PDF's offers a cheaper and quicker option. I know seeing online samples before hand made the difference for me buying the printed rules,...

Re: Computer moderated rules for R2E?

Thanks Bill, At this stage I am looking more at starting with a troop management system, then look at resolving combat etc. I figure if I can get the management system right, then you just select the units involved in the fight and things get worked out. The other way around you would have to enter ...

Re: Computer moderated rules for R2E?

Thanks Barry, I was initially seeing if anything had been done already. I was a programmer in a previous life, but I would have to relearn lots of things. The beauty of rules like R2E is that they lend themselves well to be automated. The thinking is already done in the tables. It would not be a sub...

Computer moderated rules for R2E?

I've been thinking about this for a little while - having computer support for R2E. I play mostly solo games and want to play larger scale battles and think a computer could help with record keeping, ORBATS, combat resolution and opponent randomness. I saw this recently http://15mm-madness.blogspot....

Re: Flip top paints

I bought a bunch of vajello empty dropper bottles from Maelstrom Games for £0.32 each and decanted some of my other pots into them. Stops alot of wastage especially when used with a wetpallet.

Give them a try.

Re: Reille's II Corps 1815 in 10mm

Gunter, I like the "last blast", and the 200th gave me a goal to work towards. I'm interested in the options of the campaign, so many mistakes in so short a time. Lots of "what ifs" and alternate realities. The French army can be used as a base for other post 1812 battles, as can the Prussians. The ...

Reille's II Corps 1815 in 10mm

I've been working on this OOB for over a year now. Thanks to some commissioned painting by David Young (highly recommended), I got enough to finish Jerome's Division and completed the Corps. Over 1000 10mm infantry, 96 cavalry, 20 guns and other wagons in total in the Corps. This breaks the back of ...

Re: Perponcher's 2nd Netherlands Division

Just finished the leaders of the Division, Perponcher, Saxe-Weimer and Bylandt. It took a while to find out the uniforms, but in the end I went for the blue with red trimmings and the orange sash. Oh and I did Picton, Pack and Kempt as well to fill out some gaps. Figures are Old Glory British and Pr...

Perponcher's 2nd Netherlands Division

Working on the 2nd Netherlands Division of 1815 in 10mm for RTE. At the moment I have completed the 3 battalions of the 2nd Nassau, 2 battalions of the 28th Orange Nassau and the 7th Belgian line. Still have the Jaegers, some Skirmishers, 3 battalions of DB Militia, DB Foot Artillery and Van Merlen'...

You are welcome Jeff, thanks for the kind words. I've also put them on a download page - http://10mmnapoleonics.blogspot.com/p/downloads.html , so they don't get lost in the blog. I am glad people are finding them useful. I've learnt so much from these forums, happy to share what I have learnt. If a...
