Re: Photos in Posts

Thanks for that Bill. I was trying to insert them from windows rather than something like Photobucket. I'll have a look at getting set up on Photobucket and then all I have to do is find the camera and the small matter of finishing the figures!

Cheers

I may just be being hamfisted, but how do I put a photo in the text of a post? I've read the FAQ and it suggests I might need to have permission for this, which is understandable. I can see the Img tab on the post toolbar but it doesn't seem to do anything? I thought I might put some work in progres...

Re: 28mm buildings for a not-Plancenoit town?

Wow, those layouts are fantastic Churchill. I have a good few Hovels buildings and they are great for Napoleonic through to WWII. If you are looking for some generic style buildings there is also PCM Games who trades on Ebay in the UK. Postage might seem high but he always does good discounts for mu...

Re: Hello

Hi Steve and congrats for hailing from the jewel of the North East ! Hi Simon. I have to admit that I just live in 'The Jewel' I don't hail from there. I am, as my work colleagues refer to me (in a friendly way), a 'Jock'. Probably another reason I like this forum as there's a few of us about! Sorr...

Re: Hello

Having just joined the forum also, I feel I should follow Goat Major's polite example and say hello. I have been using Fighting Talk as a guest for Napoleonic info for a while and decided to ask to join as I enjoyed the atmosphere and attitudes of the locals. I have found some sites a little 'tense'...

Re: Nations special rules

We sometimes use traits and flaws for units in our Napoleonic & ACW rules but they are generally not nation-specific and are either earned through actions in the game or in the case of our ACW campaign, purchased with experience. They need a bit of extra book keeping and sometimes you don't always r...

Re: waterslide kilts!?

waterslide kilts!? No Scotsman in his right mind would go down a waterslide wearing a kilt. Jim oooh, colonic irrigation at speed! If anyone has seen these first hand, do you think they could be used for other ranges? It looks like they are very specifically designed for individual Victrix figures ...

Re: ACW Rules playtest groups wanted

Hi there Barry. We've just finished writing and playtesting our own house brigade level ACW rules. If I'd known you were working on your rules I would have waited! I haven't played Republic to Empire (we use our own rules) but I certainly like the sound of them from what I've read on the forum and f...
