From a practical point of view gloves cut down your manual dexterity an awful lot so most people who are doing task which require a high level of dexterity will avoid wearing them or if its too cold take them off before you do the task. You can get away with this unless its really freezing say -10 C...

dry brushing the edges of flags with an appropriate colour usually works with printed flags tough is you do them of thin paper you dont get that much of a white edge in the first place

the sort of patterns you would paint on ancient or dark age Celts are also a good inspiration after all the dyes and manufacturing techniques used had hardly changed.

I would agree both Gripping beast & Musketeer are at the larger end of the 28mm size range and they fit together rather well. Artizan designs also fit in with them but are a little shorter over all but not so much they look wrong as do the ones by West wind which are of similar size and build to Gri...
