Yes, the Figures are generally Bicorne Miniatures and some Renegade Miniatures. The canon and crew are all Bicorne and the accessories came with the guns I bought ( Powder tub, balls etc.) The 1685 Figs (first pic) are Dixon Miniatures Grand Alliance figures. I'm with Clarence on this one. He's described precisely how I do it and very clearly with the illustration. I also use the side of the brush and run it around the rim of the hat from above (I mainly paint informal tricorns so it works well here.) I don't use a fine brush for this as a slightly large...

How I paint 'red' coats..

Just put a tutorial (and examples) of how I paint Red coats on my blog. This was the method I used to paint Sedgemoor figs shown in recent postings.
