this might not be much help . but in Michael mcnallys excellent osprey book on ramillies there is an illustration of max Emmanuel wearing a blue coat with red cuffs hevaly laced in gold.

hi gunter. 28 mm scale brigade made up of 3 elements each element 2 shot one pike base 6 figures per base. total 18 bases . 54 figures per brigade will have I office figure ' I drummer,2 standard bearers and 1 sargent per brigade figures based in 2 ranks . my imperialist's are based in 3 ranks . . j...

Yes you are right, however it wasn't meant to be a reproduction of the proper day of battle OOB, just an interpretation of the original document. however I have amended it, and added the possibility of Schack replacing one of the Ginkel regiments (which I sadly thought about on the way to work this...

wurttemberg letter to harboe 17th july 1691 from loughreagh.
the letter mentions the bravery of the Danish guards at the battle aughrim

I don't have the Aughrim book with me, but I think one of the terms of the Danish service was that the brigade not be split up. One of the books on the campaign specifically mentions this when speaking of the withdrawal of King William and his Blue Guard... Not sure if it was one of McNally's or on...

Michael McNally also has the Danish foot guards at auhgrim so if your information is correct then that would give you 6 battalions

kjeld hald galster in his book Danish troops in the williamite army in Ireland mentions the Danish guard at aughrim page 192 and page 195.also mentioned in the book are prince Christian, prince George funen and zealand

wondering if any one who wargames the American war of inpependence could help . how many flags would you use for an American unit of the 1777-78 period would you use one flag per regiment or two.

had a quick look at condray.no mention of the hartsciere flag at all. apart from he thinks it may have been lost a munich after blenhiem.sorry can't be any more help.
