Re: My first go at Maurice and using Battle Chronicler

Today Karsten and myself using the loyal forces of Scrivslandia again took on the might of Prussia commanded by Rich and Steve. We again used Steves extensive collection of 40mm semi-flat models painted in the toy-soldier style. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-V91ArGFRt4U/UX2JJpz7DqI/AAAAAAAAEo8/8t-Gz2sG_...

My first go at Maurice and using Battle Chronicler

Today Steve and I had our first crack at Maurice. We used his 40mm semi-flat toy soldiers and pitted the might of Prussia against the independent state of Scrivslandia. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xQVH78DYKcU/UWsQlokDLnI/AAAAAAAAEdU/GIDnx2sWKSU/s1600/DSCF1973.jpg I also had my first crack of using Bat...

Two new Bolt Action Burma Games

On Tuesday night, Adie and I had a couple more of games of Bolt Action pitting the British against the Japanese. Some very lucky dice rolls meant that the first scenario went downhill very quickly so we managed to get a second game in. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kcMMwuFoGi0/US3y6bHPIPI/AAAAAAAAEGI/NL...

14th Army Reinforced Rifle Platoon

Inspired by George McDonald-Frasers "Quartered Safe Out Here" I started a WWII Burma project a couple of years ago that has been on hold for at least 18 months. In the last few days though I have painted a whole load of figures and it is now back on track. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-P_S72WF8T6w/UP8WU...

The Battle of Harris Wood Turnpike - Black Powder Battle Rep

Yesterday evening Pete, Steve, Ian and myself played out a fictitious ACW scenario using Black Powder with my 6mm ACW collection. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-y3B5OsmGf8U/UPAL6iPAKTI/AAAAAAAADMM/G9phlIff158/s1600/DSCF1099.jpg http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nAFaV4qWx_w/UPAL8m14GOI/AAAAAAAADMc/WksnlMLtbJE/s16...

Series 33 from Rosemary and Co: http://www.rosemaryandco.com/pure-kolin ... eries%2033

Personally I have two sets each comprising a 2/0, 0, 1 & 2 and I have done hundreds of figures with my set with no appreciable diminishing of the brushes.

Our Christmas Extravaganza

Over the Christmas break we played a great 'Baron Munchhausen' themed game set up by Quinton. Four factions would compete to grab the treasure and backstab their allies. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-11K62267ao8/UN8TE1VrL1I/AAAAAAAADF8/IuEwdib5nIA/s1600/DSCF1014.jpg http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hOSZ54pnhq8...

Battle of Ramillies Black Powder refight

Today I had the great honour to partake in the Sunday Cake Clubs Battle of Ramillies refight at Gripping Beast HQ. The 24ft x 6ft table was loaded with over 2000 Foot and 900 Horse and was indeed a spectacle to behold. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VpDRWA7W-oE/UMT-HZMQ0RI/AAAAAAAADAA/vLc-O3WEKEk/s1600/S...
