Re: MacDonalds Flag

Maybe if James had had that kind of commercial and PR backing it would have been a different story...

Re: Here come the Cavalry.

Churchill, would love to see those once they're finished and based.

Did they use greys from their inception, or if not when did the grey horse become synonymous with the regiment.

Royal Scots Dragoon Guards were my parent Regt. when I was in TA. :D

Re: General stand

Standards, gentlemen, standards...

Union Flag please, it's only the Union Jack when flown from the jackstaff on one of Her Majesty's warships.

Re: Small action rules from Clarence and Barry

Smaller numbers also mean that the painters can spend longer on individual figures - should be interesting to see what the Leonardos and Titchmarshes come up with... :) Count me in! Happy to tr...

'JR' cypher...

I'm trying to create some Jacobite standards of my own, but having difficulty finding a high quality image of the royal cypher.

Does anyone have such an image, with or without crown, they would be willing to share?

Re: Figure comparisons

I have some Ebor WSS figures, the infantry look as though they would fit perfectly with Barry's WF range however the cavalry looks more like Front Rank.

I'll try and get a pic up later this evening...

I think some of the re-enactors there were the models for Front Rank's figures...

Re: Claymore...

I know what you mean El Cid, Barry's figures look a bit undernourished while Front Rank's appear to have caused the Irish famine!

I intend to use Barry's figures for rank and file, keeping some Front Rank as senior officers and characters who I think could afford a bit extra on the table...

Re: 2 Warfare Battalions. Before...

Toggy wasn't the only one, I was amazed at the variety of scenic material on offer and spent WAY too much here (and elsewhere...!)

Pics would have been even better, but had to shrink them from >5mb to <256kb to upload! :(
