Re: North Star 1672 & Phoenix Miniatures

So, who's going to sculpt the next 1672 figures?

Re: North Star 1672 & Phoenix Miniatures

Nice...

The new figures were planned for this Summer. Is Steve Saleh still working for Northstar or has he moved to Warlord?

Mainly because North Star figures uniforms are more suitable for the Scanian War period. See the example bellow of Danish uniforms. I would use Warfare for early 1680's onward.

Re: North Star 1672 & Phoenix Miniatures

Dragoon's command should also be on top of the list.

Re: Warfare miniatures for Scanian war?

For the Scanian War I would go with North Star's 1672 range but there may be some useful Warfare miniatures like officers, etc.

Re: Dutch Cavalry (1672–78)

Yes it is. The two cavalrymen seem to be "shooting craps" with a Dragoon. Re: Dutch Cavalry (1672–78)

Thanks for the useful tips. I found this very interesting painting by Matthys Naiveu of a cavalry officer in 1675: https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/15322/lot/31/ In the sketch bellow of a detail of Romeyn de Hooghe's Siege of Naarden in 1673 are a couple of Dutch cavalrymen playing dice. Here's the ...

Dutch Cavalry (1672–78)

Does anyone have information about the Dutch cavalry of the period? I've just realised I have very little on the subject and not a single image of a Dutch cavalryman.

Re: Austro-Turkish War (1663–64)

Thanks guys. Old Glory also has Hungarians and Croatians in the Eastern Renaissance range that may be used for the late 17th Century.

Austro-Turkish War (1663–64)

North Star has useful figures 28mm for the western allies in their 1672 range but are there any suitable figures for the Hungarian-Croatian troops?

Are there any good on-line resources to learn more about the campaigns?

Seneffe

I bought a sales copy of Stephen Danes' Lace Wars Scenarios 1: The Wars of Glory from Caliver but the "Seneffe 4" scenario has the previous deployment map (Seneffe 3). Does anyone have the correct one?

Cheers,

Nuno

Re: North Star 1672 & Phoenix Miniatures

No time scale yet as Steve Saleh is working on several other things but a very reliable source tells me Nick Eyre is keen to develop the range further, so more figures will definitely be added in an as yet undisclosed future. Steve Saleh is producing stuff like a madman. I'm very interested in the ...
