Poles vs Cossacks Game

A recent battle report for an Eastern Renaissance game that I attended down at the club set during the Cossack Revolt (Tony Curtis not included). The game also features an appearance of the Muscovites who I used primarily to try to destroy one unit of Cossack cavalry that had destroyed all my cannon...

Re: Third Afgahan War 1919 With The Men Who Would BeKings

Great looking game. TMWK is great set of easy to play skirmish rules. At my club, I've hosted a couple of games and its great for catering to any number of players. What sort of unit rules were given for the armoured car and transports? Also as its just outside of the typical Victorian era of gaming...

Number of Players for Donnybrook

Hi all, any recommendations for creating balanced Donnybrook skirmish forces for more than two players (e.g. 4 vs 4 with two factions)?

Perry vs Victrix plastic French infantry

Hi hope someone can help me out with this little matter of authenticity. I'm interested in skirmishing the Peninsular war for Sharp practice and for the French I need to decide between the plastic Perry French infantry and the Victrix infantry. While the Victrix infantry(https://www.victrixlimited.c...

Haha, those battle scenes in the mini-series were funny, Swedish infantry with modern double barrel shotguns, and various other none flintlock guns.
Double barrel shotguns... great innovators the Swedes

Movies on Peter the Great

Some old Soviet flick about Peter the Great presumably... :? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEzNJ5c6WyE&t=787s Also there is the American miniseries with Maximilian Schell as Peter based on Massies's book. The depiction of the war itself is a bit inaccurate as jumps straight from Narva to Poltava. ...

Re: Other uses for Zulu war British troops

Thanks I'm sort of looking at ways to expand the use of these troops.

Historically though I have seen some of the highlanders still wearing red coats but the rest seem to be wearing blue grey or khaki or is that moving more towards the Mahdist war?

Other uses for Zulu war British troops

Anyone know of any other theatres outside of South Africa where the red coated Zulu war British and associated forces etc, could be used?

Re: A few questions on BLB3

I was prompted to move into this period by the fabulous figures in the Pendraken range. To avoid the 'anaemic' looks suggested by Clarence, you will need to scale down the base sizes or the figures will be too spaced out, for want of a better expression. I worked on using two/thirds of the 15mm siz...
