Re: French mercenaries in the Royalist army

The old ECW regimental wikipedia site has been (or at least is being) resurrected and should provide more information. If you go to the "Keep Your Powder Dry" blogsite you can find a link - I can only find the old one at the moment, unfortunately.

Map for Genappe refight?

I've just discovered the article for the R2E refight of Genappe (17th June), but noticed that it did not have the map referred to in the text. I'm actually interested in this for a scenario involving the French rearguard on 18th June - any help gratefully received. Brendan ps: I noticed that none of...

Re: Opponents for British Tangiers Garrison 1660-1684

Sorry, been out of the loop for almost all of 2023 with prostate cancer. Have you played any of these four scenarios yet? I would very much like to see some AARs if so. How have you rated the enemy? I think I mentioned that I use FoG:R rules/army lists which have a "Tangiers Garrison" option, but do...

Re: Geohex Terrain

Apologies for not responding, Adam - I have been "out of the loop" for pretty much all of 2023 being treated for prostate cancer. Sorry to hear about your friend - and a shame his family decided to dispose of his stuff. The same thing happened to a former boss of mine from my British Aerospace days ...

(WANTED) Perry plastic Chasseur a Cheval colpack heads

What it says on the tin - any spare colpack heads, no number too small. Have other plastic bits for swappsies if required, otherwise will re-imburse postage and buy you a pint at Partizan/Colours/Warfare. Please note - NOT the colpack heads in the French Hussar box, as they "dress to the right" as r...

(Wanted) WW1 Highlanders - UK based

Hi, Looking for any unwanted/leftover/abandoned 28mm WW1 Highlanders from either Great War Miniatures, Brigade Games, or Renegade. They can be either early or late war and in kilts or trews (early war in Glengarry caps most sought after). I am in the UK and would prefer UK sellers, due to postal cha...

Re: Opponents for British Tangiers Garrison 1660-1684

Thanks for that - very useful guide to what works/fits and what doesn't. Unfortunately, everyone seems to make either "sword & spear" or breechloader & maxim" ranges of Arabs, but nothing in between. I had a feeling that the Two Dragons ranges (also available from Minifigs/Matchlock) had Afghans/Nor...

Re: Geohex Terrain

Any updates from either of you? My mate is still interested in the Geo-Hex and I might be interested in the desert and sea mats.

Christmas and birthday money is burning - in our pockets..... :D

Re: Opponents for British Tangiers Garrison 1660-1684

Hi Buzz, Sorry for the delay in replying, but I've been away on holiday and then a week wargaming with the Perrys including their Partizan game. No, not a single reply so far. I would indeed be interested in Walton extract - perhaps you could PM me on here and we can swap email addresses or similar....

Re: Geohex Terrain

Adam - Any further news? (His name isn't Gavin, is it? It's just that I sold two boxes of Geo-Hex to a Gavin several years ago!)

FA - Do you have pics of the mats? (And apologies for not noticing your reply before.)
