Re: De La Melonierre at the Boyne

Excellent Bob! I was looking forward to seeing these and I've not been disappointed. That chap in the redcoat lying down next to the officer is very lazy isn't he?

My Brandenburg regiment is getting there, I was unwell for a few days and that's delayed things a bit, much to my annoyance.

Re: Foundry have finally woken up

Probably a close one but I give the "Ugliest Dog of the Year" to their recent Condottieri range, myself, Marlburians runners-up.
Good point! I'd almost forgotten them. Man they really are stinkers.

I do hope they turn things around.

Re: Foundry have finally woken up

Lets hope they follow through with this. One other thing they should do is scrap the entire range of the new Marlburians and go back to the older one until they can come up with a proper replacement for it. Awful, awful figures, the worst I've ever seen! There are ranges of fantasy orcs and ogres th...

That's a fine unit Bob. Nice shade of blue and I love the bases...like they're walking through a meadow.

Re: Grand Alliance Artillery

Thanks again for all the kind (and daft) comments gentlemen. :D I'm already onto the next unit. Brandenburger (as Barry said) infantry regiment No.8 Anhalt-Zerbst. I wanted a change from the red coats of the English troops, and these chaps are a nice dark blue. So far I've only painted opponents of ...

Re: Grand Alliance Artillery

Thanks very much everybody! I love the Warfare guns, in fact 17th century cannon in general, with the big "chunky" (for want of a better term) look about them. Dave I'll look forward to seeing more of your Crimean range hopefully soon. They are really great, especially the French as I love their arm...

Hi Bob,

Got this from "The British Army of William III" by C.A. Sapherson:

Coat- Light grey, Trim/Lace- Red, Breeches- Buff, Buttons- Yellow (probably
means brass)

No colours mentioned for waistcoat or stockings. Hat lace is white.

Thanks everyone! Your comments are most welcome. Dave, thanks for adding me, can you give me a link to your blog too please? I've been on it before but I can't remember what it's called. Happy to let you photograph them Barry. You take a much better shot than I do. Ian is kind enough to let me use h...
