IMPORTANT: Trouble in the Nap Blog section!!

Barry,

It seems like some joker has spammed the Nap Blog with some illicit meterial. It looks quite OT to say the least! Best remove ASAP IMHO :) .

Cheers,

Darrell.

I have always had the idea of doing an English Flodden army but as the only manufacturer who does a range of mini's (generally thinking of clothing and not armours here) is Dixons I have just never got around to it. I may still order some and see what sort of variety I can get out of them. . My 16t...

I am always on the cusp of selling them Darrell (and have been for about six years!) I always bottle it  Oh dear, make sure that they go to a good home if you do. More inclined to carry on with my Flodden Scots though... always have meant to go back to that project 8) Yep, they look lovely. T...

James Morris has written quite a nice article here. He's noted for writing the two most balanced and considered (IMHO) WAB books, the El-Cid supplement and The Age of Arthur supplement. Barry, do you ver have the urge to pull those Early Medievel armies out and pop them on the table these days? Chee...

No Jim, the Boyne has now been put to bed for 2008. I am part of a League of Gentlemen Wargamers game at Kelham on the Sunday. It is a section of the Ligny battle we did. And very good it was too. I saw it at Falkirk I believe? Loads of Naps on one tabel. Scenery was again top notch 8) . Cheers, Da...

Just an update. Many of you who were at Claymore will have noticed that The Battle of Arsuf transmuted into The Battle of Solachon. This was primarily down to one of our number having to drop out for personal reasons. However, the game will be put on at some point, making it's debut at one of the Sc...

Battle of Solachon Claymore Pics

Hi, Wasn't sure whether I should post these in the Ancients section or General Discussion so I elected for the latter. Please feel free to move the post if needed. http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n85/Atheling_2006/IMG_1413.jpg http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n85/Atheling_2006/IMG_1412.jpg http...

Indian Mutiny Claymore Pics

Hi, Took a few snaps of the Indian Mutiny game at Claymore. By the time I had got around to looking at all the games I had very little time to take the pics so i just took the ones that looked prettiest :) . Anyway, hope you like them :) . http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n85/Atheling_2006/IMG_142...

Battle of the Boyne Pics from Claymore.

Hi all, Too a few snaps of that rather impressive Battle of the Boyne game over the weekend. Absolutely stunning game. I've seen it twice now and I'm still a little in awe of the attention to detail, planning, painting and the execution. http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n85/Atheling_2006/IMG_1422....

Re: Games workshop inks.

Hi, not sure if any tried them yet but I suggest giving the new GW inks a try. If you look past the usual silly names the inks are very good. Good strong colours that are great for glazes and they don't leave you with a gloss finish. I'm using them on some naps figures just now. I'll post pipcs whe...

Guys, don't bracket all GW types with the max the points win at all costs type of gamer. Most of the WAB guys I know and like play for the fun of the rules and try (within the limits of an ancient ruleset) to play as historical as possible. Sure many folk go for the cheesey armies at tournaments - ...

28mm Battle of Arsuf game.

Hi, No pics as of yet as I'm too buisy painting up the Frang!! Basically me and a chap called Jim Loutit (with a little help from Kevan with the scenery) are going to be putting on The Battle of Arsuf in 28mm at Claymore this year. I'm really looking forward to this as it's the first real display ga...

I voted no buckets of dice. However, I feel compelled to point out that the last time I played a Napoleonic game we were using the Airfix rules   .

Heneborn if you put a gloss varnish on the unit that has gone white with the varnish it should sort out the problem and return them to good as new. Pat Yep, it works wonders. Sound advice. Shame it doesn't work on freshly painted Arab Light Cav that have just discovered black undercoat as a varnish...
