Danish Uniforms

Well I am going to venture in to the Scanian War building up two small armies. I have a great book on the Swedish Uniforms but I can't seem to find any for the Danes. So does anyone know of any books with Danish uniforms between 1675 - 1679, or as close to that as possible?

What colours are you using and what tone is the shade in?

Something new...

It's been a while since I posted here, and actually it's been a while since I painted any swedes or danes, I've been slaving away on my FOW  Well anyway, heres a unit I recently completed. http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c361/tomek917/_286.jpg These followed along with some stuff I bought on...

First Napoleonics

These are the first napoleonics I've ever painted. French Line infantry from Perry, really beautiful miniatures. The flag is missing at the moment as I am figuring out how to paint it. Comments are welcome as usual  http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c361/tomek917/_031.jpg I am going to play Gd...

In short, if you wanted to be an "authenticity nazi" you'd be limited to late 1813, or the 1814 campaigns, but it's really up to you how happy you are "making do" with what is, after all, an irresistible range of figures. Luckily I'm not an "authenticity nazi" (and neither are any of the people I'l...

1815 miniatures in the Peninsula?

Just a quick question... Me and a friend are starting playing Napoleonics and I want to use the perry's napoleonic range of figures (I'll be playing french), but we are going to focus on the peninsula part of the war so my question is; Can I use the Perry Napoleonic 1815 range for that? Of course I ...

Hi! I don't know of any sites that have uniform information on the swedes during the GNW, the closest you coluld come was Dan's Northern Wars site which now sadly has closed. I can really recomend the Acedia Press publications but I agree that they are expensive. If there are some specific units you...

Those are really nice Ray, I like the long grass on the horse bases! Makes it look so much more "alive".

I can start by refering to this thread http://www.leagueofaugsburg.com/fightingtalk/viewtopic.php?t=1472 and also to the rules addenda (which can be found in the warchest). And from my own experience; I am using the 45x50 bases which are provided from Under the Bed and cramp my minis onto these, it ...

If I'm not completely mistaken (I can't find my sources  ) the leather that the scabbard (that's the word!) was fasten to is actually elk skin. In earlier years (during the TYW and the scanian war but probably a few years into the GNW too) the cavalry's whole uniform was made out of elk skin a...
