Re: CAN NOW BE PRE ORDERED

The bit about "Birthdays" at the bottom of the Board Index page rather gave you away Clarence!

A belated Happy Birthday by the way!

Re: CAN NOW BE PRE ORDERED

Keep in mind Barry that all parcel mail into the USA can be subject to lengthy delays since they imposed the new customs / homeland security checks (and even limiting the shipping companies / aircraft allowed to bring it in).

Re: Drip drip....the project continues

If the guy on foot had a wee bottle in his hand it would be brilliant... and I'm sure a man of your skill could do that. Jim Are you saying he's a p*ss artist Jim? :D I don't know... it's all drink, drink, drink, with you Scots isn't it!? (err...not that's anything wrong with that mind)

Re: R2E in massive Crimean playtest game!

Having lionised Mr Hilton in my previous post, and having visited some parts of this forum I seldom go, I now realise the Oscar should have gone to Bob (thinredline) :D

(Really looking forward to seeing some pictures of this game)

I really like that - especially the way the chap on foot gives the impression he is actually looking UP at the general on the horse. Very nicely done.

Re: R2E in massive Crimean playtest game!

28 feet by 18 feet!!!!!!!!??? Good Lord, you are rapidly becoming the Cecil B DeMille of wargaming Barry! A massive set; a cast of thousands in period costume – AND full scale ships to boot! Have you started planning ‘The Greatest Show on Earth’ yet? (Actually, come to think of it, 'Barry Hi...

Re: Blogs?

Thank you for the responses gentlemen - keep 'em coming please. Your views are most welcome. My (admittedly superficial) impression so far is that Blogger is flexible but sometimes a little bug prone, while Wordpress is more dependable but gives a little less in the way of options? (Probably a hopel...

Now I realise this announcement isn’t exactly going to light up the gaming world into a frenzy of fevered expectancy :D but I am a complete novice when it comes to these things and I was wondering if the regular bloggers out there have any a...

Remember gentlemen - imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!

(You can bet your bottom dollar a copyright lawyer never said that!)

Or perhaps Picasso was closer when he said "Bad artists copy. Good artists steal!"

Re: Here come the Cavalry.

I was going to make a comment similar to Rob's when I first looked at these (but lacked the moral fibre to say anything  ) Most of us like 'big' flags (I'm no exception) - and both flags and figures are beautiful Ray - but to my eye the large flags combined with the long poles looks a bit unga...

Re: 42nd and 79th

I think I was doing about 8 an hour, as there are 102, so ~ 12-13 hours. I usually only paint about 8 at a time, so never really considered the time involved in building entire units before. It was difficult to get motivated at times, and given the size of the Black Watch unit it took 4 boxes all t...
