Hi Barry

The modifications normally used are for us naturists in the club;

1) no clothing allowed apart from a cocked hat

2) naked figures (where available)

3) Change any rule that makes me lose.

Hi Ray I think you misundertood what I was meaning. I was only trying to show why there are two morale systems. If a Cavalry unit was in fact depicted on the table the same as infantry (ie as a unit of 600-800 men or 18 figures) then you could use the same morale system. I find fighting with cavalry...

Hi It is strange for a set of rules to have two morale systems. I think the reason why is that of the different unit sizes. infantry are in battalion sized units while cavalry are only in squadrons. If cavalry where in regiments then they would have the same morale system as the infantry or vice ver...

Hi

If a general rolls low and can`t issue any orders this will not stop any units rallying. A rally order is so to speak a free action.

Columns

Hi Haven`t posted here for ages but need help on the subject of infantry and cavalry columns for the period 1680- 1695. Where they used purely for moving on the battlefield or could they be used actually for attack. The only occasion that I`m aware of is the Dutch guards crossing the Boyne. Was this...

Hi

I think I`ve seen two examples at Fort nelson in Portsmouth. It`s the Royal armouries artillery collection (or part of it) why not try them.

Hi

you can`t go wrong with the jacobite rebellion in Ireland. Smallish battles. Uniforms were Red, Grey and a few blue or white which you can use as just about any body in europe.

Hi

Just finished reading it today. It was a very good read not too heavy and lots of info on brigades and the like. I also pleased to read about the jacobite use of grenadiers (that ones for Ray). Might see you at york Ray.

Hi ray

Who`s name goes first on the cover ?. Only two hundred pages that must be the rough guide to BLB not the full version. It would still hurt after we threw at each other a couple of times though.

Hi Barry

We`ve asked enough question to fill a new forum of our own Barry. Glad I can help, my answers won`t be as diffinitive as yours though.

Hi Apart from retire(from shooting) all the results are the same for cavalry. It all stems from the rules having two morale systems for two different sized tactical units. I personally think they work ok but if you like to tinker then you could use 12- 18 figures in a cavalry unit and call it a regi...

Hi You`re right, however we play the rule as in the infantry morale section ( Pg 23). I think it`s a common sense solution and works just fine. If the cavalry fail the morale test for seeing friendly infantry rout within 12" they also rout. Remember the right to left rule for testing morale though. ...
