Re: Schleswig Holstein war 1864 - 28mm pt 2

Well Hello Mr O'Brien, Been having a wee bit of a 'sojourn' but must get back to wargaming and modelling. I have not begun to address the Siege as yet, but am adding more French and looking very interested in The Piedmontese for a 'little' bash at the Tractir Bridge first :!: Mirliton are look...

Very impressive
Can you tell me where you came across the stonework fortifications. Whether scratch built using stonework sheets, or whether commercially available. :?:
The Redan and the Mamelon would look very good constructed in a similar vein for the Crimea :)

Re: WIP - CRISIS Figure 2013 French Colonel

Could be hay fever !
Goes without saying that I like the paint job on the figure,
and the basing materials, colourful and very imaginative.
Well done

Re: 55 Days in Peking British Legation PT 2

I can think of a number of superlatives, none of which would be adequate to express my admiration of the terrain and figures.
Gobsmacked  and green with envy.
My compliments, :)

Re: Ebor Miniatures Crimean war British Infantry released

Santa did come early :D , and I was not disappointed.
The British figures will make a very dynamic addition to my Crimean collection.
I shall look forward to more releases in the future 8)

Re: TARGE 2013

Hi Dave, I had a very short spell at "Targe" but we did at least "rub shoulders" as it were. The game looked good fun, and with "Toggy" in the frame, how could you not expect to be busy  Suffice it to say Sir, whatever outcomes are forthcoming, I shall continue wargaming and we shall "meet agai...

TARGE 2013

Congrats to the "KWC" members on another excellent wee show yesterday. Some new traders, as well as the revered old hands, a diverse range of Demo's and tables for a wide range of interests. The catering was "chalk and cheese" with last years encumbent - it is now much, much better. Bring those ladi...

Re: Ebor Miniatures Crimean war British Infantry released

Looking good Nick. 8) I have already purchased one of you Russian Battalions, and this looks like a sure fire second purchase - if I am good and if Santa remembers me !! I found the figures very compatible with my "small" collection of Foundry, and the poses presented in the new advancing Bri...

Well, what can I say, - I had a good teacher in duplicity, lying, backstabbing and extortion - you Adrian  Taking control of the Pasha's boat on charter to the Czechs after ramming it, then subsequently scuttling it clearly took its toll on Adrians aspirations. Offering Adrian a way o...

Gents, Bringing lots of "eye candy" for sale at the Bring and Buy on the 10th. Principally this consists :- 1. 28mm x 34 Copplestone Russian Civil War Mounted Cossacks, all painted and individually based to a high standard that even I am not ashamed of. 2. A 28mm English Civil War army, predominantl...

Re: Going to Scotland... Help needed!

Culloden is also very near to Fort George - the finest artillery fortification built in the 18th Century - and well worth a visit if you are in the locality. And if you are in the "Great Glen", Urquhart Castle on Loch Ness once held by one of my forbears, Sir Robert De Lawdre on behalf of the Scotti...

"Mrs Miggins"

Gents, For those of you "fortunate" enough to experience the hospitality of the above Lady, you have nothing to fear.  There is a perfectly "logical" explanation of the name of the B+B. The good lady has an admirable reputation in the local community, but then, so does the vicar's wife :w...
