Re: Tumbleweed blows through Kelham

I don't think it is any one reason, more a culmination of factors: 1. The organisers of Partizan have to a degree become complacent and are perhaps beginning to take their punters for granted. For a long time the premier show, it was the must see for a lot of gamers, but it has failed to move on. Sa...

WSS Nassau Uniforms

Can anyone help with uniform colours for the Nassau Walen and Nassau Guard units in the WSS? I've drawn a blank.
Cheers.

Sharpe Practice from the TooFatLardies stable are a blast. Their 2008 Festive Special has a supplement for the Mutiny with rule amendments and scenario. A superb set of rules, great blend of character gaming and pukka tactical gaming. Games work with anything from a dozen to 150 figures a side.

I have figures that I varnished with W&N over two years ago and no sign of yellowing.

Galleria is the only way to go. Use the one that comes in the big plastic bottle with the yellow cap (cheaper than the small glass bottles and better consistency). Don't work it in or it will dry glossy, just lay it on and leave it. It will take about 24 hours to cure. If you want a really flat spra...
TFL rules are not for everybody. If you are looking for tournament style rules, back off. TFL is for gentlemen wargamers who prefer period feel over clockwork rule mechanisms without any ambiguity. Know that the rules are heavily influenced by Kriegsspiel ideas.
Very true,...

Heresy

While it is quite obvious that nothing compares to R2E and its sweeping swathes of beautifully painted Napoleonic armies, for those among us with sights (and bank balance) set a little lower might I suggest taking a look at Sharpe Practice from The TooFatLardies. For games straight off the pages of ...

Litko bases are excellent, but with the current exchange rate fairly expensive. Try Warbases http://www.warbases.co.uk/#/squarebasesorder/4523511727

Laser cut 2mm MDF. I got some of their round bses recently and they are excellent and the price is good too.

Great brushmanship Gary, they have turned out really well. Like Barry I can't see the problem with the varnish.
Can I ask about the excellent basing. How did you do it and what colours have you used. It looks perfect for the Peninsular.
