Hi would Williams blue guard at the Boyne have armoured or unarmoured pikemen, also would the foot have flintlock muskets or matchsticks?

Re: WF Plastic figs

Thanks Ginger, that's what I was going to use them for bulk of the foot troops with elite/special units in metal. I just wanted to know if the figs were suitable for infantry of the time, pikes, matchlocks etc. I read that the figs could be used as pikemen?

Re: yellow coats

Thanks guys, does anyone produce Danish flags?
Oh and also did the Danes have grenadiers in their battalions, if so what headgear would be worn?

yellow coats

Guys I have a unit of GNW Russian infantry painted with yellow coats and red cuffs, does anyone know of any units (French or Allied) in the WSS that had similar uniform details, I would like to be able to replace the Russian flags and use the unit in our WSS games.

GNW Swedes

Barry,
I'm just getting back into gaming after a couple of years absence, looking through my BLB rules Swedes get a +4 in melee and a further +4 if its their first charge and they haven't fired in the game yet, is that correct?

Swedish morale

Barry can you clarify this for me please, if a full strength six fig cavalry squadron checking morale to charge throws a 6, it fails to charge, if a Swedish cavalry unit throws a 6 to charge it becomes frenzied and charges, is this correct? does this means that Swedish cavalry can never fail to char...

Figure suitability

Gents
I have some Front Rank Malburian foot figs which I was going to use fro WSS.
Unfortunately no one else in my club fancied the period in 25mm, but some guys are building some GNW armies, so are there any nationalities (Russian/Saxon/Danish....) that I could use these figs for?

Hi
Barry what figs did you use, I have started an army for the Scots using Dixon figs, but I feel that they may be just a wee bit late for Flodden. maybe more suitable for around the time of Pinkie?

Foundry 1644

Guys
Foundry has re-released 1644 with lists etc for the 30yw as well.
Anyone seen a set yet? I have a copy of the old set, and want to see if it would be worthwhile buying the new set.
