Hi Voltiguer, The flags on the Reiver Castings site were made to go with the Jacobite Rebellion 1745. They were originally constructed to go with a painting order for all of the units at Culloden which one day I'm sure the owner will allow us to wargame with at one of the shows. We'll need a large s...

Gunter,
Sorry we couldn't fit all of August's children on the base to go with the figure! 356 was it?

Drop us a line if you would like a sample.

Yes, Reiver do flags for the Danes.

We've just got some Swedish Cavalry flags done as well which will be in the list soon.

Have a look on amazon.co.uk and search under Benedict Arnold. There are quite a few listed with prices and there is the one on the Life and Treason of Benedict Arnold which you can view extracts of. I hope this is helpful.

I think BLB will work very well with any of the 18th Century conflicts. Of course there would have to be a few small changes such as the size of units for different nationalities to reflect their firing capabilities, etc but it would still give a good game. As Barry said we were discussing the AWI o...

Giogio,
It doesn't seem to indicate they didn't and other plates it does show a difference if it's there so I would suggest they may have worn the Fusilier cap. However I would also say the Officers could well have worn the Tricorn to show they had rank.

Cheers

I have seen a copy of the Wagner plates and the fusilier cap is described on there as a " "Grenadier" mutzen". The illustration shows a small Dutch Grenadier type cap with a low front plate, yellow in colour with 2 red lions on. The back is red with a small red hanging bag with a yellow tassle. The ...

Ray,
No one has insulted you so try not to insult them. We've all been wargaming a very long time and we all have opinions. As Nick said no more will be said about this.

Ray, We've obviously hit a raw nerve with you and I'm sure the intention wasn't there to do so. Forlorn Hope weren't always armed with muskets. Quite often they were armed with anything they could get their hands on, clubs, pitchforks, etc and were sent in to attack buildings, trenches, etc and prob...

Ray, I must agree with Hwiccee on this one and will add the obvious in there were small units involved in the French Indian Wars which showed the potential for harassment by Light troops on the battlefield as being a major pain in the backside! Roger's Rangers, Goreham's, etc. Although there were ad...

We're trying to add more flags to the ranges as we go but at the minute we're concentrating on the Jacobite Rebellion to add flags to a painting order for both armies at Culloden.

Once we've finished we'll be coming back to the LoA, GNW and WSS.

Very nice Ray, did you paint the flags as well? I like the shading as it looks very authentic. Could you walk us through a flag too?
