Ok. I do not think for one minute that anyone in Scotland is hoping for, or crowing over the possible demise of Claymore. Far from it. However, the fundamental point is that there is a feeling amongst the wargaming confraternity that attending Claymore is a less attractive prospect than it has been....

Thats good enough for me - no rebasing, hurrah!

Clarence, I will be using your excellent ECW rules next weekend - "never had a bad game"!

(Although my regular opponent does have a habit of being reinforced by a brigade at the right moment!)

The Sound of the Guns

A light hearted post this. :P Do you chaps paint with background music, or a zen like silence, with the odd thumb cymbal? If you do listen to music, what is your preferred choice and why? I am expecting an eclectic mix of responses, from the Master and Commander soundtrack, through Rammstein to Lill...

Certainly all of my esteemed colleagues at the Glasgow club (those with whom I have discussed the topic), feel that Carronade is the better show. I do think in terms of quality, there is a lot to be said for that viewpoint, but do think there is also an element of Claymore having become, well, borin...

I think two of the main reasons there are so many rulesets are:- There are so many more wargamers all over the world, (back in my day...) so there is a market. Good old kapitalism means products should normally appear to fill that expanding market. Wargamers come in an infinite variety, and we are a...

Hi Barry, we have never formally met - I used to game with Bob Lauder and Martin Terroni in Dundee (many moons ago), then with Dale in Kirrie (less moons ago), and now do my gaming with Glasgow and District, having moved through here about 6 years ago. I have of course, seen the many fine games and ...

Having tried grout/polyfilla/textured wall paint, I became quite a fan of PVA/water with sand added. Hi there, apologies if this has been covered before - does anyone have any tips for photoing minis? I have a reasonable digital and a wee tripod and, err, thats it.

They would be 28s.
