Re: danish Livregimentet Standard

Hello, Mark. Stuart Wilson at Maverick Models has some very nice Danish flags for the WSS period, including Colonel & Squadron flags for the unit you name. http://www.maverick-models.com/wss_danish.htm These look great and Stuart will do them at whatever size you like if you email him. The size quot...

Re: louis xiv 1690ish drummers

Hello, John. Generally, French infantry drummers wore Royal livery in the Royal regiments & those of the named provinces and the remainder wore the livery of their colonel proprietor. The Royal livery was Blue coat with red cuffs & linings and royal livery lace which is best described as a white chai...

Re: Basic command structure of WSS unit

Hello, Nic. I would prefer 1 officer, 2 Ensigns, 1 sergeant, 1 drummer & 1 musketeer. I would change that to 1 fifer instead of the musketeer if such a figure were available. That would best fit my current command base requirements. I agree that grenadiers should not be in the command pack option. M...

Re: Eureka Miniatures Arquebussiers de Grassin

Greetings, Gentlemen! Just thought I'd update you on the progress of these figures from Eureka, and try to spark interest in several others that are on the Club 100 list too (purely for self-interest as I would like Nic Robson to get these figures sculpted as well   ) Nic sent me an emai...

Re: 28mm telescopes

Rob, I'd say some brass or plastic rod with a dab of GW's Liquid Greenstuff would do the job a lot cheaper than sacrificing a figure, or even buying a purpose built telescope, if such a thing exists. The other option would be to cut off & file/shape a piece of white metal from a moulding tab some fi...

Re: Game "Events"

This is actually the single largest deck I have produced with 66 different cards currently and that is before I transfer the existing 52 events from the section in BLB2 currently. Ther will be some redundancy in that activity but I think the total could actually be somewhere near 100 when finished....

Re: Skirmish rules

Hello, Clarence & Barry. I hope that when developing the skirmish rules you will keep the Eastern side of Europe in mind, too. I think I recall Barry waxing lyrical about some Cuirassiers on the horizon for Warfare Miniatures (and hopefully dragoons), and also in another place musing about Easterner...

Re: WSS - Austrians

Hello, lenin. The flags by Maverick listed in the WSS Austrian section are the ones you want (as I arranged for Stuart to make them  ), and are as described by Dan Schorr and illustrated in the Robert Hall & GioanCarlo Boeri book on the Austrian Army published through the Pike & Shot Society. ...

Re: Eureka Miniatures Arquebussiers de Grassin

My Dear Duke, That is good news indeed! I shall drop Nic a line, even though I have subscribed originally. Do you have any of the foot? They are very tasty and just scream out for a "Charles Grant sized unit"! :D (or Black Powder I guess  ). His Saxons are worth a look too, especially the Chev...

Gidday, Nevermore!
Just love your Club web page.Great battles, great figures. I am especially a fan of your downloadable flags, and wonder if you could get your draughtsman to do up WSS Austrian Imperial flags as you have done for the 30 Years War? Cheers, Rohan - Eumundi, Australia :D
