GNW COMMAND AND SWEDISH GUARD

Varnished some figures I have been working on today. Had a bit of fun using a Warfare Command pack I bought in error to create a couple of Comman bases and finished the first of the Swedish Guard all for Great Northern War. More pictures and comments on the blog of course but a couple here. http://i...

Re: Great Northern War Project 2016 Swedes

Ebor are smaller, I have mixed my early units quite a lot, pictures on the blog give you an idea of the difference. I have one unit with mainly warfare and some Footsore pike and quite a few with warfare and some foundry and ebor mixed in. See what you think. Vasterbotten have mainly Warfare muskete...

Re: Great Northern War Project 2016 Swedes

Looking very nice, great to see people getting into this brilliant period, been approaching this in a similar fashion to you and covering it on my blog. I have also gone for the deep bases which I think work really well. Look forward to seeing your progression.

Re: Swedish Dragoon standards

Brilliant news Barry thank you. I will pick this up along with some Saxon sheets and Saxon Cavalry when I order the Swedish cavalry. Get a nice chunky order in all at once.

Gel Pens

Hi, after being recommended by a friend I have tried using Gel Pens for painting detail on figures and been pretty pleased with the result. In the below picture I have used it on the officer blade edge and point, hat and coat lace and gorget. More detail on the blog but not a bad idea. http://gapagn...

Re: Swedish Dragoon standards

To be honest I have no idea if they actually used drummers, this was just an assumption on my part, I would also be interested in some feedback from wiser heads. Great to know that this is on the list, cheers Barry.

Re: Swedish Dragoon standards

OK so I think I am right that no-one else does these, hopefully the Warfare team will do a sheet for us. I imagine just one will be fine with the regiments mentioned. In terms of the difference from the line cavalry are we just looking at the trumpeter being replaced by a drummer and all else effect...

Swedish Dragoon standards

Hi All.

I wonder if anyone is aware of somewhere I can pick up 28mm Swedish Dragoon Standards for GNW, or if not whether Warfare plan any.

Most battles at the very least seem to have guard dragoons and most have more.
