Re: Swedish ratings in BLB v3

Personally based on my vast experience with the rules (total of one game) I would go for Veteran Elite for all the standard troops except perhaps newly raised units from later in the war like the Tremanning and Femanning units in Skania, and Guard for all of the Guard. The Grenadiers getting the bon...

New plan for Great Northern War

So this weekend being unable to paint again I decided to organise myself. I have gone well over my initial plan in some areas (no surprise) and with the forthcoming Warfare Swedish cavalry I wanted to take stock and decide exactly where I was going. So new plan posted on the blog, along with a littl...

BLB3 Playtest with Great Northern War

We play tested Beneath the Lilly Banners 3 on Thursday using my Great Northern War collection. Generally really good results, enjoyed the mechanisms just concerned over the movement rates, full write up on the blog with pictures. https://gapagnw.blogspot.com/ https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1749/4068...

Re: Bronze Age Lion Rampant

I wanted these to look like pre-historic horses, particularly british ones. Think I managed that.

Muslim Hill Tribes for Sikh Wars

Just had these back from the basing department and really pleased with them. Using them for Sikh Wars irregulars. Nearly all Foundry Afghans, they still look the mutts nuts to me despite being very old castings. More pictures and quick write up here: http://gapagnw.blogspot.co.uk/2018/05/hill-tribe-...

Basing for retreat from Moscow

Been wrestling with the thorny issue of basing, not a fan of sabots and want units I can use for both Black Powder and Sharp Practice, bit of a write up on the blog about it https://gapagnw.blogspot.co.uk/ https://farm1.staticflickr.com/816/41039173492_03e3b877bb.jpg IMG_20180328_134001 by Roger Cas...
