Beau Jest! AAR

We continued with our preparation for the WorLard Day at the Durham club with another test run of a Beau Geste inspired game of Sharp Practice. This was the second run through with, after finally reading the rules, went a lot smoother than the week before, though Nige and mick might differ on that p...

Speed Painted African Skin Tones

In order to have any chance of doing this within the next few years I needed to find a way in which I can skimp on my usual painting method and start churning them out. I pretty much decided to go for a base coat, a wash and two highlights, one of which i...

Here's a selection of close ups of the mini's that I've painted thus far (I know, not too many!). You can read about how they were painted as well as seeing many 360 degree pics (or sorts) on my Just Add Water blog here: http://justaddwater-bedford.blogspot.co.uk/2016/02/1st-madras-fusiliersneills-b...

The Iron Duke range is brilliant DB. I recently bought 13 packs of Mutineers with no duplicates!!!

Of course, I've got to paint them first!!

Some lovely games there. The blue on that cupola is really quite striking, isn't it? It is :) I think the Back of Beyond game was one of the best games at the show although at the time I took the photographs it was difficult to access the game as the players were hogging all the space  . This was the first time that most of the players had an opportunity to field their entire retinues and would be a biggie. You can read all about it and see many pics on my Just Add Water blog h...
